or better said Dorogaja molodaja Paganini! I would like to comment on your Monday concert in Bratislava. Congratulations to the SPP Award. I have to say openly I was shocked (in a very positive sense) by your interpretation of the Sibelius concert. This concert became my favorite one in early 70s when I was approximately of your age. That time I bought vinyl LP with David Oistrakh and thought for a long time that the piece could not be played better. On Monday I have learned that you, despite of your age, was able to find many new stories embedded in this nice music. For example one of the new dimensions you disclosed for me from that cosmic music (full of love) was a Sibelius’ description of the state when he was probably drunk and not very happy. Yes, indeed I had such a feeling.
I was sitting in a first row which I considered a bit disadvantageous at the beginning of that unforgettable evening because the sound of the orchestra is usually not balanced on such a short distance. But when you came on a stage (with a brightly red slipper:-) the situation reversed because from my seat I had a possibility to SEE your amazing way of playing. You were so much concentrated and electrified by that music that it looked as if you were loosing consciousness for a second. I’ve got the impression that I was looking at music that was materialized via your body. On the other side, during the rests you were very much aware of your position in the middle of the orchestra and it looked as if you were a co-conductor:-) Fascinating zrelishche, indeed.
Now I am hunting for the record of that direct radio transmission. By the way, yesterday I listened to that mp3 file you put on your web site. It seems to me that your performance in Bratislava was even better (maybe you will replace that mp3 file in future:-)) I understand that the expression “Vienna Philharmonic” sounds much better than “Slovak Radio Orchestra” but on the other side I must admit that I have never heard this orchestra (considered a B-grade orchestra in Bratislava) to play so well. There is only one explanation: the tremendous increase in its quality happened due to you – it means not only audience but also the players were fascinated by you and your interpretation of such a difficult piece.
You apparently belong to that kind of artists who are able to bring the audience very close to heaven. May God bless you Patricia. I wish you all the best in your life and will be happy to find on your web that you have recorded my favorite concert on CD.
Thanks again for that marvellous experience.

Forgive me for my attempt to recommend you to rename 'trashbin' -I just would like to return some thanks for all I downloaded from your website. This 'bin' is certainly not 'golden', maybe 'silk' - but never 'rubbish'... If there were no critics, some people wouldn't have noticed about you as a distinguishable performer... As a last word, I disagree with these critics, and wish to have a chance to listen to you in a concert in Istanbul. Yusuf
Hi Yusuf, april 2005 I will play in Ankara. Perhaps Istanbul later. We have all the good critics on the website. But in "trashbin" we put reviews which one would not normally put on a website. Its more honest (and fun). What name would you suggest instead of "Trashbin"? Pat
